The intention of this thesis is to look at the topic of cultural cannibalism and at the ruin, trying to relate them to one another with the intention of finding meaning, inspiration, shapes and, specially, purpose. “Cannibalism. The permanent transformation of the tabu into totem.” A verse from the Anthropophagic Manifesto, meaning that accepting “the enemy” instead of neglecting it, seemed fitting to the idea of looking at an abandoned ruin as something that still has qualities.
